Unlock your cell phone so that it can work with any GSM network, in your home country, or anywhere else in the world.

As long as your phone uses the same frequency bands, it should be able to work on any other GSM network after you have unlocked it.

Unlocking your Cell Phone

Now for the Most Important Part : You need to send your phone to us (surprisingly, some people pay for an unlock but then never send us their phone!).

Step 1

Fully charge your phone's battery.  We probably do not have a charger for your phone, and if your phone battery is not fully charged, it will not have enough power for the unlocking program to work properly, and the unlocking program could scramble the phone's memory.

For this reason, phones that show more than one bar less than fully charged on their battery indicator will be returned, locked, and no refund will be made.

We suggest you leave your present SIM in your phone so we can test your phone with your SIM.  But this is not mandatory, and if you bought the phone without a SIM, then that is okay - just send the phone and battery with no SIM.

We also suggest you backup any data you have on the phone.  Sometimes it becomes necessary to re-initialize the phone and to load in a new version of firmware as part of the unlock process, and in such cases, any data stored on the phone will be lost.

Step 2

Carefully pack your phone.  It is your responsibility to adequately pack your phone to send to us.  We are not responsible for any damage incurred while shipping.

It is usually sufficient to simply send your phone wrapped in bubble wrap and inside a padded mailer envelope.

Step 3

Include a piece of paper with your name and email on it so we can match up your phone with your payment, and so we can contact you if there are any questions or problems.

ALSO please include the PIN unlock code for your current SIM (if you have the PIN number enabled) so we can test your phone with your present SIM.

Step 4

If you have chosen the Expedited rush service, please include a pre-paid and addressed return shipping form for whatever shipping service you wish us to use to return your phone to you.

Step 5

Please do not ship anything else to us - just your phone, charged battery, current SIM (optional) and note with your name and email.  Anything else will be considered a gift and either kept or thrown away, but not returned to you, no matter whether it has any value or not.

Step 6

Please send your phone to :

The Travel Insider
Attn :  Phone Unlock
7416 NE 169th St
Kenmore WA 98028

Our contact phone number, if you need to show it on a courier air way bill, is (206)338-3381.

Please do not ship your phone to us in a way that requires us to be physically present to sign for receipt of the phone.  We will not make a special trip to collect your phone from the Post Office if it is held there for us.

Note that you must ship your phone to us within 15 days of making payment.

Step 7

We'll send you an email to confirm your phone has been received, unlocked, tested, and sent back to you.

We send your phone to you via US First Class Mail, with Delivery Confirmation and $100 of insurance if you're in the US.  If we're sending it internationally, we ship via Air Mail.

If you're concerned about the safe return of your phone, you can either request us to add insurance ($2 cost for each $100 of extra cover) or you should arrange for us to send it back to you by a courier service such as Fedex.  They provide shipment tracking and insurance.

Step 8

Receive your unlocked phone back, and enjoy it!

Last Chance to Buy a Discounted SIM reader/writer/copier too

As a thank you for purchasing this unlock, you can also buy a discounted SIM reader/writer/copier.  Everyone with a GSM phone should have one of these very handy units, and you can purchase one - now - at the discounted price of $17.45 and free shipping if sent with your phone.
